Big Wave Beach

Getting there: Big Wave Beach is located near Shek - O, but on the other side. In order to get there, you would need a car because the bus doesn't stop at Big Wave. But if you really want to visit this beach, you can take Bus No. 9 from Shau Kei Wan, and stop at Shek - O then take a taxi.

At the beach: Living up to its name, Big wave is the destination known for surfing here.  Last week, we went here to have a picnic. It was winter so we were not able to swim even though I badly wanted to jump to the water. However, there were still people who went swimming and surfing. On the left side of the beach, there is a trail that you can follow to get to the top and see the whole view. Although it is not recommended because it could be dangerous for some. But I had to go because I just couldn't miss to see how beautiful the sea is.

What's good about it? : Not just this beach, but all beaches here are ABSOLUTE FREE and with lifeguards. Back in RP I remembered, they wouldn't even let us walk near the beach because you have check - in at their hotel before getting full access. I mean, really? (Sa inyo na yan? Oh sige inyong inyo na. Haha)

What to do: Of course, there's the usual bbq place where you can cook. A playground for kids. A beach for surfing. And lastly, restaurants for  EATING.  The idea of surfing sounds fun, so I guess i'll give it a try this summer.

That's about it. Adios.

We've got a Deal!

Group Buying sites, if I'm not mistaken allow users to buy "deals" cheaper than the original price. I was introduced to group buying sites during my internship by a friend. -- Deal Grocer. So I signed up for membership. After a few weeks, I realized that of course, other sites existed too. Ang dami nila. I even have these sites plus others on my Chrome one click tab already.

I looked up "group buying philippines" in Google and saw a list. I visited each of the sites, looked at their deal for the day. I never knew that sites like these existed. I felt kind of fooled because I used to eat at restaurants that were featured on these sites and pay the actual amount.
So here is my list, where I usually buy coupons:

What they are best at: Unique stuff and travel deals.

 2. Ensogo

What they are best at: Restaurant coupons. I once bought a Drink all you can at Matsuri for only 300 Pesos.

What they are best at: Beauty and Wellness. Gotta love all those diamond peel facial for 199 Pesos.

4. Deal Grocer

What they are best at: I think everyone would agree with me on this. Vacation and Travel. Bellaroca, Apulit Island. All the glamorous, the glamorous glamorous.

Shek - O Beach

There are around 15 beaches in Hong Kong and believe it or not, I have only been to 5 or 6 since I was born. Although Hong Kong is not known for "Best Beaches".

Hong Kong is as accessible as Singapore. You can travel almost all of hk by taking the bus or MTR. Because of that, getting to Shek - O isn't hard. Just take Bus No. 9 from Shau Kei Wan, which is also reachable riding the MTR and getting off at Shau Kei Wan.

Some photos of Shek - O I took two summers ago. The right part of the beach contains mostly rocks where you can have a photoshoot like I did on the fourth picture below. You can also go fishing(I think) like kuya from the second picture.

I don't really know what white sand really looks like even though I've been to Boracay already. But Boracay's sand is better, of course. Other future posts may contain info on the Culture, food and of course, more beaches. But for now, enjoy this folks!
